Sale Information

Looking for a horse to build a competitive future with?

Mountain Music Man (Genesis) is a 5-year-old bay gelding standing at 16.1 hands. During his racing career, he sold for 450,000 at Fasig-Tipton, won the 2015 Awad Stakes, and earned just over 100,000. He is now enjoying his second career as a Hunter/Jumper having shown at large venues such as Tryon International Equestrian Center and The Kentucky Horse Park. Schooling at 2’9” and showing at 2’6”, Genesis has already brought home top ribbons in large classes. He placed 8th in the New Vocations Pony Club Challenge Show Jump division in August with just 6 months of training compared to his competitors that had almost 2 years of training. He placed 7th in the Low Jumper Stake at the New Vocations All-Thoroughbred Show and took home 9th place overall out of 22 in the TIP Championship Hopeful Jumper division.

Genesis shows great potential to be a successful 3-ring horse. His steady gait, flowing trot, and bravery to jumps would well suit the Hunter ring. His extremely comfortable gaits would make a great Equitation mount. And his ability to answer questions in a challenging course would make him competitive in the Jumper ring.

He is the same horse at home and off-property. Little warm up needed, and he is happy to ride around on the buckle. He is currently working on solidifying his lead changes. Genesis would be the perfect partner for an ambitious junior, amateur, or professional. He will be ready for the 3 ft division next season and shows great scope and potential to keep moving up.
