Sale Information

A natural route horse at the track, Incremental has class and stamina. He is a lovely mover with three good gaits that continue to improve with training, on top of having a sensible mind. He was introduced to dressage while still in full training at the racetrack and was officially retired sound from racing in May 2018, after winning three out of four races this year. He is fancy enough to do dressage, but has the athleticism to jump and the endurance to event.

Currently, Incremental is getting ready for his dressage show debut. All of our work has been focused on installing a solid foundation, but he has cantered poles and cross rails (I’m not a jumper) and is fairly solid on his changes. He’s been out on hacks and schooled at a jumper show with a small, busy warmup and a large/intimidating indoor.

While he has the mind to become a good amateur or youth horse, Incremental is still green and will need a skilled and confident rider to continue his education in the immediate future.

*Incremental has been to two shows now. One was a recognized dressage show, where he won his first dressage test, and the other was a H/J show doing under saddle classes. He is adapting to life as a show horse very well!

Notes on Previous Injuries: Incremental’s right eye was injured during a race towards the end of 2017. He had surgery and spent 45 days at the vet clinic to save it. There is scarring on the eye, but he has shown to have at least partial vision in it. It did not affect him when he returned to racing and hasn’t presented any problems since he has started his new career.
