Barrel Racing

Barrel Racing

All horses will first complete a horsemanship pattern followed by two timed barrel runs. The five horses with the lowest score after the preliminary test will complete one more timed barrel run in the Finale.

Competitive Trail

Competitive Trail

The competitive trail course will be comprised of ten obstacles and horses will complete the course individually. The five top-scoring horses from the preliminary ride will compete individually in an arena obstacle trail class during the Finale in the Covered Arena.

Dressage

Dressage

All horses will perform their choice of the USEF Training Level Test 2 or WDAA Basic Level Test 1 followed by a five-minute demonstration ride. The five top-scoring horses will perform a five-minute demonstration ride to music during the Finale.

Eventing

Eventing

Horses will perform all three phases of eventing, similarly to a traditional one-day horse trial. Show jumping and cross-country courses will be offered at Beginner Novice and Novice options. The five top-scoring horses will compete for additional points in the Finale, jumping a course that includes show jumps and cross- country portables.

Field Hunter

Field Hunter

The Field Hunter test is broken into three parts over two days including an Under Saddle flat portion, Individual jump test and a Mock Hunt. The top five horses will perform in the Covered Arena demonstrating the skills required of a field hunter.

Freestyle

Freestyle

This category of competition allows Trainers to present horses in disciplines other than the nine offered, or to perform in any manner that demonstrates the trainability and talent of the horse. The five top-scoring horses will perform again during the Finale. They may perform the same routine or a different one.

Polo

Polo

Horses will complete a two-part test designed to assess their preparedness to be ridden competitively on a team including Short Work and Stick and Ball work. The five top-scoring horses will advance to the Finale for a two-part final performance. Part one will be individual short work followed by all five horses plus a sixth volunteer will compete in a seven-minute chukker.

Ranch Work

Ranch Work

The Ranch Work test has two parts including AQHA Ranch Riding Pattern, followed by a ranch trail test. The five top-placed horses will complete a cattle sorting test in the Finale.

Show Hunter

Show Hunter

Horses will jump two over fences rounds at the same height in a rotation determined at the in-gate then return to be judged on the flat in a group. The five top-scoring horses will perform over fences during the Finale.

Show Jumper

Show Jumper

The preliminary test consists of four parts including Flat Work, Gymnastics and two jumper rounds. The five top-scoring horses will perform two jumper rounds during the Finale.
